Keir Beck (Keir Beck) for the first time in Russia ran 5-day course on stunt rigging. The course was organized and supplied with stunt harnesses by Tracers.

The course was developed by Keir and his company AP8 (ap8actionpact.com) to improve the skills of stunt riggers. Keir Beck is known for the films Matrix, Casino Royale, Pirates of the Caribbean, Mad Max and many others. other

The program of the course:

• Complex rig design and implementation
• Working with winches and ratchets
• Splicing and rigging whilst working at height
• Security Reporting and Scheduling
• Logistics and equipment requirements
• Working with Technora, Dyneema / Spectra
• Climbing techniques for different environments
• Working with truss and cranes
• Reserve coping systems

Dates: 12-16 March 2018
Venue: Training center of MGSU - Mytischi, Olympic Ave 50

The course consisted of several parts:

Theoretical part

Splicing and joining ropes
to avoid loss of strength in knots

Load tests for various combinations of splicing and knots

Keir Beck

Keir Beck is a Second Unit Director and Stunt Coordinator and is recognized around the world as a leader in Stunt Rigging.

Beck has worked in the film industry since 1998. His experience in arboristics, active sports and mountaineering, obtained already in the period up to the 1988 year, led to Keir becoming a real expert and world-famous in the field of stunt production. He has worked on more than 100 productions around the world. As stunt coordinator Keir worked in the films: “Mad Max: Road of Fury” (dir. George Miller), “Bleeding Steel”, in the lead role Jackie Chan. His key tricks include Casino Royale, Sherlock Holmes: "The Game of Shadows", "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Dead Do Not Tell Tales", "The Matrix: Reboot", "The Matrix: Revolution", "Peter Pan" and many others. He also coordinated stunts for the sci-fi epic Wachowski film "The Rise of Jupiter".

Awards

Back has won two Taurus World Stunt Awards for Mad Max: Fury Road: Best Stunt Coordinator / Co-Director and Best Stunt Rigging, and has received 2 Screen Actors Guild Awards. Back was also recognized by the British Film and Television Awards. At his own training center in Australia, Keir provides training courses in all aspects of modern stunt work, and more recently in production, producing and directing.

Location

Training center of the leading engineering and construction university of Russia. The UC is a part of the research and production methodical center, together with an accredited testing laboratory, a design department, an engineering department. Produces the training of competent work organization at the height in accordance with the current legislation. The polygon is located at the address: Moscow region, Mytischi, Olympic Ave 50.
